Established in 1945, the Rancho Santa Anita Property Owners' Association is one of the first Homeowners Associations established in Arcadia.

​

The area was also the site of Anoakia, the estate constructed in 1913 for Anita Baldwin, the daughter of Elias Jackson “Lucky” Baldwin, the founder of Arcadia.
